The relevance of a national day in the history of a country is considered very important. Generally; a national day is related to a particular date in the calendar year; where in the history an important event might have occurred which was useful in setting up the foundations of the country. In most cases, every country would have a national holiday on the date of their national day in order to commemorate the past event which helped in the existence of the country. In some countries, one would find more than one day being celebrated as the national day.
Originally, the national days generally mark the independence day of that particular country which is why it is given the importance or equality of the day which earmarks or contributes in setting up the foundations of that particular country. In most of the countries; on such days, you would find parades happening in major cities or the leader of the nation addressing the country and sharing relevant details and vision with them.
In addition to the days which have relevance in terms of the formation of the nation; there are certain other days which are considered or celebrated as national days. The days might not have significant relevance in terms of national foundation but are very popular amongst the people and these days are also celebrated with equal pomp and enthusiasm. There is a completely long list of national days which one can go through to actually see which are the relevant days or dates. In addition to this there is also list of national days in which every day of the calendar year would have some or the other important event on it. Yes, it is true; according to this list of national days; 365 days of the year would have some or the other event or important function happening on that particular day.
Although the popularity of all these days as per the 365 days list of national days cannot be ascertained fully; but out of that list there are quite a few days which have gained immense popularity and fan following from people across the globe. Events as per that list of national days although do not have any authentication or accreditation from any government institute; but the celebrations and fan following of these days have helped in the propagation of the popularity of these days.
