Royal Caribbean International is bringing the Freedom-class ship Independence of the Seas back to Port Everglades in Florida for the winter 2012-13 season. That gives vacationers a choice of three Freedom-class ships for the 2012-13 Caribbean season, now open for booking.
Independence of the Seas has helped solidify Royal Caribbeans position as the most innovative cruise line in Europe, where she will continue to sail in the summer, and is now offering new Caribbean adventures for the ships devotees said Betsy ORourke, senior vice president of Marketing, Royal Caribbean International.
Offering a variety of Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries sailing from Port Canaveral aboard Freedom of the Seas and Port Everglades aboard Independence and Liberty of the Seas
154,407 ton Independence of the Seas will sail a trans-Atlantic voyage from Southampton, U.K. on November 22, 2012 then homeport at Port Everglades through March 2013. The ship will sail one three-night Bahamas cruise before alternating eight-night Eastern Caribbean and six-night Western Caribbean itineraries.
