Start with one of the best addresses for a restaurant in Manitou Springs. Located on the towns Main Street minutes from Garden of the Gods, the Townhouse Lounge offers the best seat in the house for local festivals and attractions.

By day, experience the many Manitou Springs area attractions. Then pick a place in front of the Townhouse Lounge for the Emma Crawford Coffin Races, a wacky historical Halloween parade and celebration.

Or stop by after a visit to the Garden of the Gods,enjoy the Colorado Springs/Pikes Peak region’s mild weather, and step onto their expansive outdoor Beer Garden.

Colorados famous mild weather was never better on my visit in September, but the chill of the mountain air had me searching for a casual Colorado restaurant. I found it at the Townhouse Lounge.

Earlier that day, Id sampled crepes at Coquettes Bistro & Bakery, noting the frequent motorcyclists stopping in front of the Townhouse. Dozens pulled up a chair in the Beer Garden, and like me, people-watched the traffic and pedestrians on Manitou Avenue.

The Townhouse Lounge advertises the Best Burgers in Town, and I have to agree. The burgers (starting at $7.95 including fries) come from Colorados Ranch Foods Direct-no steroids and no hormones. Fresh and juicy, the burgers were char-broiled just right (medium well for me), and I finished mine to the last morsel!
